A high level meeting for better coal connectivity was held in the auditorium of Dhanbad Division today by Anupam Sharma, General Manager, East Central Railway. In this meeting, issues like the inconvenience being faced in starting new coal mines, cooperation of railway administration, difficulties in transporting rakes to the mines, construction of sidings, land acquisition, etc. were discussed with various coal companies. In the meeting, the coal producing companies were assured by the Railways to increase production and remove any obstructions in its smooth transportation immediately. There was a special discussion on coal mines like Dudhichua, Banhardih, Obra-C, AKA, Godavari, Amrapali. The GM was apprised of the updated status of these mines by Dhanbad Division. The meeting was attended by DRM, Dhanbad along with other officers and representatives of companies like BCCL, CCL, NCL, DVC, Hindalco, NTPC, RITES etc.
