Thursday, 01 December 2022 | PNS | Chandigarh

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Wednesday said that the State Government is committed to uplift the state’s villages.

Khattar, interacting with the Gram Sanrakshaks through audio conferencing under the ‘Gram Sanrakshak Samvad’ programme, said that besides making concrete efforts to resolve issues of villagers at the village level, the State Government is committed to deliver welfare schemes at the doorsteps.

Under the ‘Haryana Panchayat Sanrakshak Yojana -2021', Class-I officers, serving in various departments, were nominated as Gram Sanrakshak, wherein the officers will ensure to resolve the problems of the villagers and ensure holistic development of the village adopted by them.

Khattar directed the Gram Sanrakshaks that they must reach their respective allotted villages on December 3, and administer the oath to the elected representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions. Apart from this, they will also cooperate in the making and distribution of Chirayu cards on December 10.

The Chief Minister further said that in the first week of every month, he will communicate with the Gram Sanrakshaks so that their feedback on assigned tasks can be taken from them.

Inspiring the Gram Sanrakshaks to extend their social service to society, the Chief Minister said that they should meet the sarpanch and other volunteers to discuss the core issues of the village allotted to them. He said that they must solve the problems of the villages by making proper coordination with the concerned departmental officers.

Also infusing the spirit of social service among the Gram Sanrakshaks, the Chief Minister said that work for society is possible by extending efforts from the heart.

Assigning four new tasks, he said that Gram Sanrakshaks will also be evaluated on the basis of eight assigned tasks. “Gram Sanrakshaks will reach the village on December 3 to administer oaths to the sarpanches and panches, and on December 10 to distribute the new Chirayu cards. They will also have to visit the senior secondary schools to review the utilization of the tablets given to the students and verify the income of 25 additional families in the village,” said the Chief Minister.

The Chief Minister said that the assigned task of getting the Parivar Pehchan Patra completed should also be done soon. He further directed to complete all eight tasks by the end of December and submit their report on the portal www.intraharyana.gov.in.
