Govt to monitor sale of self testing kits of Covid-19

Saturday, 15 January 2022 | PNS | Dehradun

Concerned by the increasing use of self testing antigen kits for Covid-19 and the tendency of people for self medication, the state health department has directed for monitoring of sale of these kits. On the orders of the secretary Health Pankaj Kumar Pandey, the drug controller Hemant Negi held a virtual interaction with the members of the chemist and druggist association on Friday. Negi warned against overstocking and black marketing of medicines. He said that the retailers and the hospitals should not be given more than 25 self testing kits at a time.
