The district-level Kayakalpa award for extraordinary contributions in transforming health centres was presented to Gurandi Community Health Centre (CHC) Public Health Extension Officer Mamata Padhi. She has changed the look of the CHC premises upgrading it as an attractive place. Different varieties of herbal plants are planted giving the premises a green look. She was also instrumental in offering yoga classes to patients, distribution of IEC materials and upgrading the ECC room. Besides, Mamata also improved facilities and services in the nearby health centres at Garabandha, Jangalpadu, Baghasala and Kerandi under Gosani block. District Collector Lingaraj Panda felicitated her in a function.
