Governor Ramesh Bais and Chief Minister Hemant Soren today paid homage to the country's first President Bharat Ratna Dr. Rajendra Prasad at his statue located at Rajendra Chowk (Doranda) on the occasion of his birth anniversary. They also paid tributes and Paramveer Chakra winner martyr Albert Ekka by paying floral tributes to him on his death anniversary at his statue located at Mahatma Gandhi Marg (Albert Ekka Chowk).
On the occasion, the CM said that today is the day to remember two great personalities of the country. Today is the birth anniversary of the country's first President Bharat Ratna Dr. Rajendra Prasad and the martyrdom day of the brave tribal son of Jharkhand, Shaheed Albert Ekka. The CM said that it is because of such great personalities that all of us are living with dignity in such a big republic and democratic country. We are proud of such great personalities. On the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first President of the country and on the martyrdom day of brave son of the soil of Jharkhand, great warrior Paramveer Chakra winner Shaheed Albert Ekka, I bow down to him, he said.
