Governor Mangubhai Patel hoisted the flag at Raj Bhavan on the auspicious occasion of Republic Day. On this occasion Principal Secretary to the Governor D.P. Ahuja, officers, and employees were present.
Patel exchanged Republic Day greetings with the officers and employees. Sweets were distributed to the children of Raj Bhavan premises.
Addl Secretary to Governor Manoj Khatri, Law Officer D.P.S. Gaur, ADC o the Governor Agam Jain, Shri Subhash Anand, Controller Raj Bhavan Surabhi Tiwari, Chief Security Officer Inderjit Singh Chavda, officers of all deptts and security staff of Raj Bhavan were present.
The slogan of Jai Hind given by him became the national slogan. The countrymen address him by the name of Netaji. Netaji gave the slogan of ‘Delhi Chalo’ to the army as ‘Supreme Commander’ in front of the Town Hall of Singapore on 5 July 1943 and fought the British and Commonwealth forces together in Imphal and Kohima including Burma.
Subhash Chandra Bose formed the provisional
government of independent India on October 21, 1943 as the supreme commander of the Azad Hind Fauj.
