If you want hate to spread, vote for BJP, for progress vote for us: Kejriwal

Monday, 20 June 2022 | Staff Reporter | NEW DELHI

For the third consecutive day, the AAP national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal took out a roadshow in Rajinder Nagar in support of his party’s candidate Durgesh Pathak ahead of bypolls scheduled for June 23.

During the roadshow, beside the road, the crowd standing in gullies, staircases or balconies waved at the Chief Minister as his cavalcade moved forward. The entire area was dotted with blue, white and yellow festoons and balloons and punctuated by messages in support of AAP.

Atop his car, with candidate Pathak by his side, Kejriwal greeted the public and sought blessings from the residents. Senior AAP leaders and MLA Saurabh Bhardwaj and Sanjeev Jha as part of the cavalcade also appealed to the public to vote for AAP once again while the area reverberated with chants in support of AAP.

“I have come here to urge you to exercise your electoral power. Everybody has to cast their votes. You have to press the ‘Jhaadu’ button. I want to thank everybody for excessively voting for us in the previous assembly elections. You showered love and showed faith in us in abundance,” said Kejriwal, while addressing the crowd.

“On June 23 June, you have to make us victorious by a double margin than what we got last time. We are working day and night to bring progress in Delhi. We have transformed the schools to ensure a bright future of your children. We are providing interrupted supply of electricity at free of cost. Women can travel free of cost in Delhi Government buses,” said Kejriwal.

“A lot of development has been made but I acknowledge that some issues need to be addressed.

“There is a shortage of water supply but I am working on it and I assure that it will get fixed soon,” said Kejriwal.

Taking dig at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the AAP chief said if you want the hate to spread, vote for BJP and if you want to see progress and welfare, vote for us.

“I will resolve all the problems. This is what I have done ever since I came to power. It is my assurance. I believe in progress and not in picking fights. This time, give us so many votes that we win by a double margin than what we got last time,” said Kejriwal.
