Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Sunday said that youths should be trained in various trades to equip them for employees in line with the demand of industries and market.

He was addressing the maiden meeting to discuss the nature and functioning of the Chhattisgarh Employment Mission here, an official communication said. He inaugurated its office too.

The Working President of the Mission and senior officials were present.

Baghel said the production should be done as per the market demand in Rural Industrial Parks.

To enhance the quality and certification of the products, cooperation of state-based higher technical institutions should be taken.

He sought suggestions from the directors of state-based IIT, IIM, IIIT and NIT on employment generation. The higher educational institutions should come forward for certification and standardization of products from rural areas, he said.

They can also hand-hold to bring new startups and reputed companies to the state.

He said Collectors can play a key role in holding surveys of educational qualifications of youths where new industries are coming up.

Based on the needs of the industries, youth can be imparted training on trades through Industrial Training Institute (ITI), and Livelihood College locally.

He asked for re-activation of the website whereby plumbers, electricians, carpenters and other service providers can get work in urban areas.
