Indore to be start-up capital of the country, says Chief Minister

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that a conducive environment will be provided in the state for start-ups. Financial assistance and other facilities will be provided for start-ups. Indore will be made the start-up capital of the country. He urged the youths to come forward and start more and more start-ups. The state government will give them full Support.

Chouhan was addressing the Start-in-Indore Conclave organised by young start-up entrepreneurs at Brilliant Convention Centre in Indore on Wednesday. Member of Parliament Shankar Lalwani, public representatives and a large number of young start-up entrepreneurs were present.

The Chief Minister said that youths have immense potential to work. Nothing is impossible in the world. If a man wants, he can command in the universe also. Whatever he can imagine, he can also do. Do something so that the world keeps looking at you and remembers you. If the urge to do something is created in the mind, then success is definitely achieved. He said that the success of a start-up also depends on these factors.

Chouhan said that the real strength of democracy is the people. Today we are moving fast for self-reliant Madhya Pradesh. Self-reliant Madhya Pradesh has four major dimensions, these include infrastructure, health and education, good governance, economy and employment. Industrial investment is increasing rapidly in the state. New industrial centres are also being developed. He said that Indore would be made the capital of start-ups. New industrial areas are being developed in different areas for new industries. All the start-ups should move ahead, this is the intention of the state government. For this, full Support will be given by the state government.

The Chief Minister said that the suggestions received through today's programme would be given shape. He said that a venture fund would be set up to help the start-ups. An effective plan will be made in this regard. Work will also be done expeditiously towards making Indore an IT hub. Chouhan said that an action plan would be prepared to provide land, financial facilities etc. to the entrepreneurs. A model will be developed to provide financial assistance to start-ups. Global Start-up Investors Summit will also be organised.

Member of Parliament Shankar Lalwani said that Chief Minister Chouhan intends that Indore should become a hub of start-ups. The work of realising his intention has started. A forum of 300 start-up entrepreneurs has been set up in Indore. This is the first event of this forum. He said that soon another mega convention would be organised. Giving suggestions, he said that there is a need to develop a culture and environment of working 24 hours in Indore. There should also be a big IT park here.

State Disaster Management Committee Member Nishant Khare said that in the past it was very difficult and challenging to innovate. With the efforts made by the government, doing innovation and new work has become easier. He informed that about 250 start-ups have participated in today's conference. This is a great achievement.

Suggestions are being taken regarding formulation of start-up policy. Many start-up entrepreneurs also gave their important suggestions in the programme.
