Celebration of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ is going on across the Country under this on Saturday a team of officers and jawans of ITBP, Ranchi visited Ranchi Agricultural College of Birsa Agriculture University (BAU) and shared the importance of the occasion and the purpose of celebration. They also celebrated the occasion with the students of the college. ITBP jawans gave a message to the students to always respect the tricolour and maintain the pride of the tricolour.
Dean Agriculture Dr SK Pal, NSS University Coordinator Dr BK Jha, teachers and participating students were also present on the occasion.
Essay and quiz competition was organized in Agriculture College on Saturday on the 75 years of independence. Shweta Kumari, a student of the sixth semester of the essay competition on the achievements of Indian agriculture, was the winner. Sanket Kumar Tiwari secured second rank and Badal Kumar and Avinash Kumar Pandey jointly secured third position of the same semester. The team of Kaushal Kumar and Shyam Sundar was the winner of the quiz competition. The team of Sanket Kumar Tiwari and Sonu Kumar stood second and the team of Sweta Kumari and Khushboo Kumari stood third. The jury was headed by Dr MK Barnwal and the members were Dr. Nayyar Ali and Dr. Aurobindo Kumar.
NSS University Coordinator, Dr BK Jha said that all 7 competitions will be organized on Monday and Tuesday in the Veterinary and Forestry College of the university. The Competitions are also being organized by NSS Koshang in Agriculture College Garhwa, Deoghar and Godda, Agricultural Engineering College, Ranchi, Fisheries Science College Gumla and Dairy Technology College Hansdiha, Dumka. For the winners of various competitions in all the colleges, a competition will be organized at the university headquarters level on August 12. BAU Vice Chancellor Dr. Onkar Nath Singh has congratulated all the participants and winners.
The Amrit Mahotsav of Azadi started in Gumla, the Fisheries Science College run under BAU. The programme was inaugurated by Co-Founder Dr AK Singh. He gave a message to the teachers and students to celebrate the festival with peace, harmony and gaiety.
On the occasion, the students of the first and second semester of the college mesmerized the audience with the art and culture based group dance of Jharkhand. There was a lot of enthusiasm and enthusiasm among the students for the festival. Solo music and solo dance competitions were organized for the students under the Mahotsav. A total of 8 students participated in solo music.
