Chhattisgarh’s Jashpur Collector on Thursday constituted a team to probe the Community Health Centre Duldula incident where two doctors were assaulted by some unidentified persons.
Ritesh Kumar Aggarwal issued an order to probe the reported misbehavior and assault in the hospital premises on Wednesday night.
The incident occurred with the doctors posted at the Community Health Centre at Duldula. A video of the incident had gone viral on social media, an official communication said.
The panel consists of Additional District Magistrate I.L. Thakur, Chief Medical and Health Officer Ranjit Toppo, Joint Collector Yogendra Srivas and Civil Surgeon-cum-Chief Hospital Superintendent R.N Kerketta.
Doctors Maheshwar Manik and Nitish Sonwani stated that the District Collector and Parliamentary Secretary U.D. Minj inspected the hospital on Wednesday.
Minutes after they left, persons who had arrived during the inspection in an inebriated state assaulted them. They said they were resigning due to the insult meted on to them.
