Jharkhand Tribal Festival begins today

Chief Minister Hemant Soren inspected the preparations for the ‘Jharkhand Tribal Festival’ to be organized on 9th and 10th August 2022 at the historic Morhabadi ground of Ranchi on the occasion of World Tribal Day here on Monday. The CM, while closely inspecting all the necessary aspects including decoration of the main stage, information about various stalls, other furnishings, seating arrangements, food centers, security arrangements, gave many important guidelines to the officers.

 

The CM said that the guests arriving from Jharkhand and other states in the festival, welcome and security of the participants participating in the cultural programme should be ensured properly. He said that sufficient number of chairs should be installed for the seating of the visitors. He asked to take special care of the safety of the people and ensure that the LED screen and sound quality in the venue is good.

 

The CM directed the officials to keep all the preparations for the festival solid. Maintain proper arrangement of entry and exit points of guests. He told the officials that the road fixed for the vehicles coming to the venue and the arrangement of parking places should also be maintained properly. The Chief Minister asked the officials to ensure that the entire pandal is waterproof in view of the possibility of rain, so that even if it rains, no one has to face any problem.

 

Earlier, Secretary to Chief Minister Vinay Kumar Choubey and Welfare Secretary KK Soan inspected the site of preparations for Jharkhand Tribal Festival organized on the occasion of World Tribal Day on Tuesday, 9th August at Morhabadi Maidan. They instructed the officials to keep all the preparations tight. Maintain proper arrangement of entry and exit points of guests.

 

Secretary to the Chief Minister, Vinay Kumar Choubey directed that the stage, VIP lounge, exhibition gallery, media gallery and seating arrangement of the people should be maintained properly. Along with him asked to make the exhibition gallery attractive. He directed to put up display boards for all the information in the stalls to be built in the gallery.

 

People will be able to enjoy the cuisines of Jharkhand in the food pavilion of Jharkhand Tribal Festival. On the occasion of World Tribal Day, a food court is also being constructed in the Jharkhand Tribal Festival to be held at Morhabadi Maidan, where people will be able to enjoy Jharkhandi cuisine. Secretary to the Chief Minister, Vinay Kumar Choubey instructed to keep all the arrangements here. Special emphasis was laid on taking special care of cleanliness.

 

People will be able to get acquainted with the art and culture of Jharkhand in the exhibition gallery to be built in the programme. All the information related to Jharkhand and its tribes will be displayed in the stall to be built here.

 

Seminars and panel discussions will also be organized in the Jharkhand Tribal Festival to be held for two days. Seminar and Panel Discussion will be held on 9th and 10th August at Tribal Research Institute and Hockey Stadium, Morhabadi. Eminent speakers will participate in this seminar and panel discussion.

 

Tribal Welfare Commissioner Mukesh Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Rahul Kumar Sinha, Municipal Commissioner Shashi Ranjan and officials of the concerned department were present on the occasion.

 

Notably, the Government of Jharkhand this year is celebrating the International Day of World’s Indigenous people in the form of a two-day Tribal fest on August 9 and 10. The government has made elaborate arrangements for the festival, which will be graced by Rajya Sabha MP cum Chairperson of State Coordination Committee, Shibu Soren, Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel among other prominent personalities.
