A 19-year-old youth pursuing BCom from Jagran Lake City University (JLU) in Ratibad area committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling on Wednesday.
Two days ago he collected Rs 2 lakh from his brother and was fond of online games but reason for the suicide could not be revealed and is under investigation.
Police said that the reason for the suicide of Manoj Wankhede from Yavatmal Maharashtra can be revealed only after the statement of the family members. His friends told that he was fond of playing online games. Two days back, he had asked for Rs 2 lakh from his elder brother. However, where he spent this money is yet to be found. The student used to stay at his aunt's house.
On Thursday, his friends who came for his post-mortem told that Manoj had passed 12th from Delhi Public School. At night he met everyone and had food. Due to his calm nature, no one came to know about being in tension. When the family woke up in the morning, Manoj was found on the noose.
The police would investigate the mobile phone and gaming details as possible if he required money for gaming or for some other reason. The statements of the family are yet to be recorded, said police. The friends of deceased would be questioned in the investigation to find the reason behind the suicide.
