JMM hits hard at Central Govt for ‘Agneepath’ scheme

Sunday, 19 June 2022 | PNS | Ranchi

Ruling party in Chief Minister, Hemant Soren led coalition Government in the State, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), on Friday came down heavily against the new Agneepath recruitment scheme of the Central Government.

The party believes that by starting the recruitment process on contract in the army, the Modi Government has played with the future of lakhs of youth of the Country. Party General Secretary and Spokesperson, Supriyo Bhattacharya said that today preparations are being made to send the youth of the country to the army by giving only 6 months of training. The junior training of NCC is also of 2 years and senior training is of 3 years, so will the Agneepath recruitment scheme make the youth of the Country more proficient than NCC, he added.

Bhattachrya further said that who is being fooled by the Central Government, for the last 2 years, the job in the army could not be given. “In many states, police force jobs were not given in the last 4 to 6 years and the youths did not get a job in any paramilitary in the Country for 3 years. Children are working hard for employment for 3 - 4 years. After that treat them like this? It is clear that the Modi Government is working to completely deceive the youth of the Country,” he added.

The JMM leader said that the Country's army is its pride. “The talk of giving 10 lakh jobs to the youth of the Country in one and a half years is only a jumla. Not only this, by giving big advertisements in the PRD the Central Government has tried to tell how the youth becomes lakhpati in 21 years. In fact, it has now become the thinking of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) that the youth should be sent to the border by giving 6 months training under contract,” he added.

It may be mentioned here that for the last two days, youths have been protesting in many states of the Country against the Agneepath recruitment scheme of the Central Government to recruit for four years in the army. Indian Railways has been damaged in many districts of Bihar and several trains have been set on fire. At the same time, in many districts of Jharkhand, youth have come out on the road in protest against 'Agneepath Yojana'.
