Steel, Mines and Works Minister Praffulla Kumar Mallick visited Jagatsinghpur district on Tuesday and held discussion with district officials and department engineers with regard to several ongoing projects in the district and laid the foundation stone of a road.
The Minister first visited Paradip and inspected indoor hall construction works there; then he visited Jaipur- Katikata bridge over river Mahanadi at Jaipur under Raghunathpur block including District Headquarters Hospital MCH building, and laid the foundation stone of Alipingala- Khaira road at Alipingala, six km away from here.
After visiting several construction sites undertaken by the Works Department, the Minister held a review meeting with the Works Department engineers and civil officials. Speaking at the review meeting, Mallick revealed that the Kandarpur railway over bridge construction would be started soon.
Official level discussion with Railways, Works Department and NH authority have started, he said. Meanwhile works of another railway over bridge at Chhapada railway crossing on Jagatsinghpur- Jaipur road have been begun, the Minister informed.
The review meeting was attended by Government Chief Whip Prashant Muduli, MP Dr Rajshree Mallick among others.
