Several areas witnessed rainfall on Saturday; cloud cover which prevailed from morning poured late in the afternoon in the state capital. Bhopal would witness partial cloudy condition and thundery activities in the next 24 hours.
According to warning issued by Met department thundery activities and lightening would be witnessed in Bhopal, Sehore, Rajgarh, Hoshangabad, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Agar, Shajapur, Umaria, Katni and Jabalpur districts.
For the past two days, day temperatures soared providing relief from harsh weather conditions and abrupt rainfall was witnessed on Saturday. The Met department issued rain alert in the state. Light rain was witnessed in Gwalior and Ratlam.
Light to heavy rain may occur at isolated places in 17 districts of the state till evening. The wind speed could be witnessed around 40 km per hour in some parts of the state making weather conditions cold. Light rain and drizzle may occur at some places in the state for the next 24 hours.
The coldest day on Friday was in Bhind, Gwalior, Chattarpur and Shivpuri. The day temperature remained below 21 degree Celsius. In Bhopal and Indore the day temperature dipped below 26 degrees Celsius.
A cyclonic circulation is active over North Bangladesh. The winds over North Pakistan are in the form of a cyclonic activity. A trough is passing over Central Rajasthan and a trough is passing over Bay of Bengal. The effect of the arrival of winds from Pakistan will remain in the next 24 hours also.
Warning of thundery activities, rainfall and hailstorm in Rewa, Sagar, Gwalior and Chambal divisions and Raisen and Vidisha districts.
