In Ujjain, a Muslim youth, pretending to be a Hindu, first implicated a minor girl in a love trap and when truth surfaced, tried to forcibly marry, threatend her of life.
Sumit alias Irfan took the girl captive and somehow she escaped from the clutches of the accused and went to the police station and lodged a case. The police arrested the accused and sent him to jail.
A 15-year-old girl from the Nagjhiri area of Ujjain used to attend a coaching class here, where she became friend with a boy. Introducing himself as 'Sumit', he befriended the girl and then expressed love. He started talking to her about marriage. About six months ago, suddenly the girl came to know that Sumit's real name is Irfan Patel.
The contact between the two was over but on Wednesday, the accused Irfan called her to meet him under pressure and when the victim went to him, he grabbed her hand and forcibly made her sit on the bike bearing registration number MP13FM5883. The girl started making noise, the accused tried to silence her by threatening her.
Then left him near Malanvasa and escaped.
According to the victim, the boy was telling her that he would marry her.
