Like every year, the 11th Biswashanti Mahayajna was held at the Maa Budhi Jagulai Peetha in Arilo village under the Mahanga police limits in Cuttack district.
The Yajna and festivities that began on January 15 were celebrated in adherence to Covid guidelines. On the concluding day, a felicitation ceremony was held on behalf of the Maa Budhi Jagulai Sankirtan Mandali . On the occasion, Prasanna Kumar Acharya, a senior citizen of the Arilo Sashan village and a former official of Paradip Port Trust, was felicitated for spreading spiritual consciousness.
Acharya has been running the Chetna Vikas Parishad, Arilo Pujaseva Samiti and the Bhagwat Tungi after settling at his village post retirement from PPT. Several others who excelled in various fields were also honoured.
The function was presided over by senior member of the organisation Ratnakar Mohanty and coordinated by Sishir Chandra Acharya. Among others, Pandit Divyasundar Acharya was present as the chief speaker while Bata Kishore Panda attended as guest of honor. The programme was attended by many intellectuals and dignitaries.
