Chhattisgarh Police on Friday arrested a man for cheating a youth of Rs 7.90 lakhs on the pretext of providing him a job in Indian Railways in Bilaspur district.
Bilaspur Senior Superintendent of Police Parul Mathur identified him as Ganesh Patro (32) of Raigarh city.
Bharat Yadav (26) lodged a cheating case on March 22.
Patro was arrested from a rented house in Raigarh city. He confessed to taking money from Yadav by promising him a railway job.
The police seized Rs 1 lakh, a laptop, two mobile phones, an ATM card and a PAN card from him. A court sent Patro to prison.
