Chhattisgarh Police on Friday arrested a man for killing his wife a few days ago in Durg district.
Durg Superintendent of Police Abhishek Pallava identified him as Ghanshyam Yadu of Borenda village. A court has sent him to prison.
The body of Rajkumari was found hanging in a house on May 17. The autopsy showed she had been strangled.
Police detained Yadu and he confessed killing his wife after a row over family issues.
He said they had a heated argument and in a fit of rage he strangled Rajkumari with a cotton mat and a scarf. Later, he hanged Rajkumari with her saree to portray it as a suicide.
