Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati has called an important meeting of national and state committees on June 30. Along with the state coordinators, the main divisional incharges have also been called in this meeting.
After the defeat in the assembly elections, Mayawati is continuously reviewing the expansion of the organisation and its functioning by staying in Lucknow. Those who do not work relatively in the assembly elections are either being shown the exit door or being marginalised.
Nakul Dubey, who played an important role in the enlightened class (Brahmin community) conference, was expelled for giving a wrong report. Some more big names may also be shown the door in coming days.
Accordingly, the meeting to be held on June 30 assumes importance. Sources say that in this meeting, the work of responsibilities will be reviewed and progress reports taken from national and state coordinators. Further decisions will be taken on the basis of it.
At present, Mayawati is giving more importance to leaders of the cadre. Apart from this, important responsibilities are being assigned to leaders of the Muslim community. The meeting will also discuss the civic polls to be held in November as also the strategy for Mission-2024.
Mayawati seems to be gaining ground due to the better performance of the BSP candidate in the Azamgarh bypoll.
