Monsoon is now fully active in MP, heavy rainfall continues in Bhopal

After covering whole state, it rained heavily in the evening and continued to rain till night in Bhopal, monsoon has now become fully active in the state.

Earlier in the afternoon, it rained in different areas of Bhopal. Along with the rainy season in the ongoing election season candidates have to brave weather to continue campaigning left for the last two days.

Many areas of the state including Indore received drizzle on Saturday.

In Madhya Pradesh, 31 out of 52 districts received below normal rainfall in June, in 14 districts with normal rains. In 7 districts of the state, there was more rain than normal.

Met told that there may be heavy rain in many areas on Saturday as well. The central areas of Madhya Pradesh like Indore, Ujjain and Bhopal may receive heavy rain at isolated places.

Kurwai recorded 5 cm of rainfall, 2.5 cm rainfall was received in Rewa while 2.5 cm rainfall was recorded in Sidhi, Umaria, Anuppur, Satna, Raisen, Shivpuri, Ashoknagar, Khandwa, Satna, Dhar, Guna, Narmadapuram, Betul, Sagar, Ujjain, Jabalpur and Chhindwara.

Cyclone is active over East Rajasthan. A trough is passing through it up to West-central Arabian Sea. For this reason, there is a possibility of rain in the middle of Madhya Pradesh on Saturday also. There may be heavy rain at some places.

The East-West Trough is extending from Northwest Rajasthan to Northeast Bay of Bengal across South Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and West Bengal. A trough is running parallel to South Gujarat to South Maharashtra coast.

Today, with further advance of the Southern Monsoon, its northern boundary is now passing through Deesa, Neemuch, Chittorgarh, Bikaner and Khajuwala. Monsoon has set in Madhya Pradesh on Friday.
