More than 2 cr youth employed in MSME units in last 5-years

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on Sunday, congratulated the 9,534 candidates selected by the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board for the sub-inspector and equivalent posts.

The chief minister said that these youths selected for service in the state police force would make a significant contribution in maintaining peace and strengthening the law and order situation in the state.

For the first time in the history of the state police, there will be a significant increase in the efficiency of the force with the selection of such a large number of sub-inspectors by direct recruitment.

Giving this information here on Sunday, a state government spokesman said that the government was making special efforts to provide jobs and self-employment opportunities to the youth through Mission Rojgar.

The spokesman said in the last five years, more than two crore youth got employment in the micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) units. He said the One District, One Produce scheme had provided employment to 25 lakh youth and five lakh youth got employment in various investment projects.

He said under the Start-up policy, employment opportunities were created for five lakh youth and government jobs were given to five lakh youth through a transparent and fair recruitment process.
