Nat’l Tribal Music Fest to be held in Bastar

A National Tribal Music Festival will be        organized every year in Bastar to promote the region's tribal folk music.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel made the announcement at an Adivasi Sammelan held in Jagdalpur on Thursday night.

Baghel also approved recognition of the Bastar Academy of Dance Art and Literature (BADAL) as a    college affiliated to the Khairagarh Music University.

He said that                   representatives of various tribal communities will be included in advisory       committee of Amcho Bastar Heritage Society.

This society will be      recognized by the government. Various tribal       craftsmen, artisans and artists of all districts of Bastar division will be      associated with BADAL.

The Chief Minister approved Rs 10.42 crore for a hostel at Gyangudi for tribal students.
