A lower rung Naxalite wanted for the killing of a policeman was arrested in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur on Sunday, police said.
Bijapur Additional Superintendent of Police Pankaj Shukla identified him as Gango Kuhrami (23), a militia member in the outlawed Maoist movement.
He was apprehended from a forest near Kotrapal village during a search operation by the CRPF’s 222/A Battalion and local police.
He was involved in killing police constable Somdu alias Mallesh Poyam in January 2021, the officer said.
