Senior journalist Navin Sharma passes away

 

Senior journalist Navin Sharma died of a heart attack on Friday. He was working as a news editor in a news portal. Complaining of gas and pain, he reached a hospital, where he was examined. On investigation it was found that he had suffered a heart attack. After that his treatment started, but he died around four O'clock in the evening. A large number of journalists, their relatives and acquaintances had reached the hospital premises. Recently, a book on film songs by Naveen Sharma, 'Filmie Geet Ka Safar' was published. He had a great interest in film writing. Apart from this, he also used to write on contemporary subjects. There is mourning in the journalism world due to his death. Governor Ramesh Bais, Chief Minister Hemant Soren alongwith several eminent personalities expressed grief and paid tributes to Sharma.

 

 

 

DWA donates kitchen items at Karuna Ashram

 

The Doctors Wives Association assembled at Karuna Ashram (Arogya Bhawan, Bariatu ) on Friday for their charity work. This time certain items of use in the kitchen of Karuna Ashram were donated-two steel drums, two electric kettles, one gas stove, milk powder, biscuits and bananas for the children. The Chairperson of DWA Vinita Sharan, Co-Chairperson Jhooma Sarkar, President Bindu Prasad, Secretary, Dr. Soni Sinha along with a few members Rashmi Sinha, Shobha Kumar, Manju Khaitan, Rekha Mishra, Kamlesh Middha, Arti Singh, Deepa Chouhan, Sumita Kumar, Arti Sinha,  Rashmi Kumar, Bibha Singh, Neelum Shekhar, Shreela Choudhary, Dr Vinita Sinha, Veena Sahu, Supriya Thakur, Poonam Jha, Sushma Mishra, Sunita Sinha and Debjani Sanyal were present at the venue. The authorities of Karuna Ashram were very obliged to the association for this noble work.

 

SAIL Swarna Jayanti story writing competition 2022

 

Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), formed on 24th January, 1973, is celebrating its 50th year of incorporation. Mirroring the spirit of the occasion and as part of the various activities planned to commemorate SAIL Swarna Jayanti, the company has launched a story writing competition. The theme of this bilingual competition is ‘SAIL’s contribution in Nation building in the last five decades’. This open to all competition aims to encourage the participants to showcase their creativity and writing skills. It is an opportunity to write story on SAIL’s role in nation building and society in the last five decades. The details of the competition are available on company’s social media handles and its website www.sail.co.in. The last date of receiving entries for the competition via email is 25th August, 2022 while the hard copies will be accepted till 31st August, 2022. Every entry has to be submitted through both email at sailstory2022@gmail.com and post (hard copy). The winners will be announced on SAIL’s abovementioned website and its various social media platforms and will be awarded with certificates and attractive prizes.

 

First domestic PNG connection in BSL Township

 

The first PNG connection in the SAIL-BSL township area of Bokaro city has been commissioned by Indian Oil Corporation Limited at the residence of Director-in-Charge of BSL. It was inaugurated by J. P Sinha, Executive Director (In-Charge), Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Eastern Regional Pipeline in the august presence of  VK Pandey, Executive Director (MM&P&A), BSL. The CGM Inc (Finance & Accounts) of BSL, Suresh Rangani and other senior officers of Indian Oil Corporation Limited and BSL were present on the occasion. IOCL has been approved by the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board for undertaking city gas distribution work in the districts of Bokaro, Ramgarh and Hazaribagh. Under this, IOCL has so far opened 12 C.N.G stations in Bokaro district, and has provided facilities of P.N.G. in 1200 houses and as expansion plan more C.N.G. Station and PNG connection work is in progress. The company has also done the work of distribution of C.N.G and P.N.G gas in the township of Hazaribagh and Ramgarh districts, under which people will be made available in homes P.N.G and for vehicles C.N.G. It is noteworthy that Natural gas (CNG and PNG) is clean gas, friendly to environment and human life, pollution free and economical too.
