The National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Odisha Government on Thursday signed an MoU to spread awareness amongst MSMEs of the State on fund raising by IPO mechanism using NSE SME platform - Emerge.
The NSE would conduct awareness drives through seminars, MSME camps, knowledge sessions, road shows and workshops to guide corporates for fund raising on NSE Emerge platform and also handhold the companies in the listing process.
Director, Budget and Nodal Officer, MIO, Finance Department Dr Satya Priya Rath said, “The MSMEs of the State would be able to present their businesses to a wider set of investors through NSE Emerge and attract capital investments.”
MD and CEO, NSE Ashishkumar Chauhan said, “We urge the State’s MSMEs to come forward and avail the new sources of financing through NSE Emerge.”
The NSE’s SME Emerge platform currently has 283 companies from various sectors listed. Total funds raised on the platform till date is over Rs 4,670 crore.
