OMC to set up 5 Adarsh Vidyalayas

The Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) launched several projects to promote education in the presence of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on its 67th foundation day here on Monday. The CM also launched an OMC Anthem on the occasion.

 

The OMC signed an MoU with the Odisha Adarsha Vidyalay Sangathan to set up five Mining Adarsha Vidyalayas and another MoU with the Department of Technical Education & Training to establish a Skill Academy at ITI, Koira. The corporation would spend Rs 208 crore to set up the Adarsha  Vidyalayas in its mining areas and also spend Rs 30 crore annually to run these institutions.

 

The Chief Minister spoke high of the OMC’s social sector development initiatives. The OMC’s efforts in supporting the State in its fight against Covid-19 pandemic are highly commendable, the CM added.
