Friday, 16 December 2022 | Staff Reporter | Bhopal

Effigy of Shahrukh Khan was burnt while posters were burnt and women hit during protest led by BJP Yuva Morcha on Thursday;protest against Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer film Pathan have intensified in the state.

On Thursday, there was a protest against Shah Rukh Khan at Malwa Mill Square in Indore.

Women slapped Shahrukh's poster, after which the BJP Yuva Morcha protested by burning the effigy.

Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra had said a day ago fix the costumes and scenes of the actress in the song of the film Pathan, otherwise a decision will be taken on whether the film should be allowed to be released in the state or not.

Mishra said that the costume used in the film's song is prima facie highly objectionable. It is clearly visible that this song has been filmed due to a corrupt mindset. Deepika Padukone has been a supporter of the Tukde-Tukde gang in the JNU case.

Leader of Opposition Govind Singh has also raised questions regarding the Pathan movie. He said the scene he saw was indecent. Indian culture cannot accept this.

It is not our country's tradition that this type of semi-nude scenes should be served among the youth. This is being done under a deliberate conspiracy.

The All India Muslim Festivals Committee (AIMTC) is also opposed to the film. In Bhopal, AIMTC President Peerzada Khurram Miyan Chishti said that within 24 hours, he received more than 400 calls from across the country.

Pathan Movie is to be released on January 25. Its teaser came a month ago and recently its first song 'Besharam Rang...' has been released. In which actress Deepika Padukone has given very bold scenes with Shahrukh.

Deepika is also seen wearing a bold saffron dress in this song, due to which the protest emerged.
