Panchayat representatives should participate in Har Ghar Tiranga campaign

Congratulating the newly elected Panchayat representatives, Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan wished them for discharging their responsibilities as per the expectations of the people. CM Shri Chouhan said that elected Panchayat representatives should leave no stone unturned in the development of their area and welfare of the people, the State Government is with them. CM Shri Chouhan inspired the newly elected Panchayat representatives to participate enthusiastically in the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence. He said that the country is celebrating the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The country has got freedom through sacrifice, hard work, dedication and struggle. It is the duty of every resident of state to celebrate this period as a festival. Let us all cherish this festival of independence with joy and enthusiasm by joining the "Har Ghar Tiranga" campaign.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was addressing the newly elected representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions from the residence office through video conferencing. Additional Chief Secretary General Administration Shri Vinod Kumar, Principal Secretary Culture Shri Sheo Shekhar Shukla and officers of Panchayat and Rural Development Department were present. All the panchayats of the state participated virtually in the programme.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the "Har Ghar Tiranga" is a campaign to inculcate the feeling of patriotism among the countrymen by creating awareness about the national flag. Independence week will be celebrated across the country from 11 to 17 August. We all must hoist the tricolour at our homes, offices and business places from 13 to 15 August. It is a manifestation of our love, respect and dedication towards Mother India. It is necessary that we buy the national flag ourselves and hoist it. Women's self-help groups and cooperative societies are engaged in making the national flags in the state. CM Shri Chouhan expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Modi for the Government of India allowing to hoist the National Flag during the day as well as at night.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that to ensure everyone's participation in the "Har Ghar Tiranga" campaign, activities for building the atmosphere are going on at a large scale in the entire state. People should be motivated to participate in the "Har Ghar Tiranga" campaign through tiranga rallies, prabhat pheris and bhajan troupes in villages and cities. Eminent persons of the society, religious leaders, social workers, social service organisations, schools, colleges, NCC, NSS, Jan Abhiyan Parishad workers and organisations related to sports and other activities should participate actively with dedication in this work of patriotism.

 

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan lauded the innovation of making a human chain in the shape of map of India in Mandla and a human chain of the shape of 75 years in Raisen and capturing it through drone photography. The CM also praised the making of attractive videos by the religious leaders of all religions in Burhanpur by hoisting the tricolour together. CM Shri Chouhan said that tree plantation activities should also be linked with the "Har Ghar Tiranga" campaign. Along with this, activities like cleaning the monuments of great men should also be included in the campaign and the remembrance and respect to them should be shown.

 

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan told the newly elected Panchayat representatives that he himself had gone to Bhopal to collect the tricolour from the sisters of self-help groups. He also motivated the Panchayat representatives to buy the national flag from the sisters of the Self-Help Groups around them. CM Shri Chouhan said that I am sure that the people of the state will ensure every effort to make the grand event of national love and patriotism a success. The tricolour will definitely be hoisted in every house and every establishment of the state from August 13 to 15.
