Tata Steel UISL is working on a plan to stop parking of vehicles at Jubilee Park. The company is permanently barricading the right side of the main road of the park. With this, bikes, autos or even buses will not be able to park anywhere inside the park. The company officials informed that along with enhancing the beauty of the park, work is being done in view of the problems faced by the tourists due to the parking of vehicles on the roadside.
Company spokesperson Sukanya Das said that apart from roadside cars, bikes and autos, buses are also installed inside the park. This creates a problem for the tourists visiting the park. Due to all these things, it has been decided to do roadside barricading. Due to parking of vehicles, besides the trees and plants on the side of the road, the grass and flowers are also getting damaged. Its direct effect is on the beauty of the park and the beauty of the park is deteriorating. Anyway, when there is a provision of free parking outside the park, there is no reason to park the vehicle inside the park.
The removed divider block of Mango bridge is being used for barricading on Jubilee Park Main Road. The work of repairing the road of the bridge was started by Tata Steel UISL from March 27. During that time the divider of the bridge was first removed by crane. Permanent barricading is being done from Sakchi Gate on the right side of the road using the same divider so that no one can park the vehicle there.
Earlier, the park was closed on 24 March 2020 during the Corona transition period. During that time no one was allowed to enter the park under the guidelines of Corona. Then gradually when the situation started returning to normal with the effect of Corona subsiding, even then the road along with the park was not being opened for vehicular movement. Along with the public representatives, the common people of the city also raised their voice regarding this. Then the park was opened on 15 July 2021. Despite this, there was a movement to open the road, then the road was opened on 26 September 2021. After that the movement of vehicles started from the road of Jubilee Park.
