Deepak Purohit, Inspector General of Prisons, Chandigarh on Friday inaugurated the Physiotherapy Unit in Chandigarh Jail in the presence of Palika Arora, Joint Inspector General of Prisons, UT Chandigarh and other Jail Officers. Purohit said that the Physiotherapy Room will provide comfort to female inmates having health problems and will also reduce security threats. Along with that 01 Children Room has been inaugurated in the female ward. Toys and other facilities have been arranged for small kids. Currently, 03 kids are staying with their mother in Jail. This room will provide them a change of environment and will help to develop their motor skills, he added.
