Kamla Nagar police have arrested a youth while his girlfriend remained absconding for extorting Rs 50000 by threatening to fabricate in rape case, victim was also kept captive for a night.
Police have arrested Salman who along with his girlfriend after making a video of victim demanded Rs 50000.
The accused also snatched Rs 15000 by threatening the youth.
Police have registered a case against three people including the girl, her boyfriend. The police has also arrested the boyfriend.
A 22-year-old youth living in Kolar area works in a dairy in Kajlikheda.
After this he also works part time with the contractor at Habibganj railway station at night.
The victim told the police that on the night of May 15, around 9.30 pm, Bharti told that she has a dispute with her boyfriend Salman and wanted to talk to him.
Victim reached near Mandwa Basti to meet Bharti and at a house where Salman reached with his aide and by threatening made video of the victim and in the same video Bharti was spotted saying that the victim raped her.
The offenders snatched the victim's mobile and Rs 15000 in cash. He was also reathened of dire consequences, if he approached police.
They demanded Rs 50000 and also took keys of car.
Later complaint was made when victim was saved by his friend while commiting suicide.
