Chhattisgarh Police have arrested six persons, including the owner and manager, during a raid on a hookah bar in Bilaspur city.
They were arrested under the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act (COTPA).
Bilaspur Senior Superintendent of Police Parul Mathur identified them as Akash Yadav, Manish Chetani, Amar Kewat, Nishant Gupta, Durgesh Kori and Shankar Borkar, all residents of Bilaspur city.
Yadav owns the Valhalla Café in Id-gaah Chowk in the city while Chetani is the manager. The remaining are workers.
Police seized three hookah pots, three hookah flavours, a spring water box and one flavoured betel box from them.
Police also detained eight youngsters including two girls who were freed after their family was advised that they must not smoke hookah.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel banned hookah bars in October last year.
