Even as a debate rages as to what prompted Ollywood actor Raimohan Parida to commit suicide, the Commissionerate police have launched a probe into the case both from suicide and murder angles.
As per reports, the actor was found hanging at his residence in the Prachi Vihar area of the capital city on Friday. Earlier it was suspected that the actor ended his life by suicide while the reason for taking such a drastic step was yet to be ascertained.
Meanwhile, police have questioned Raimohan's two daughters, son-in-law, wife and nephew. Even his driver would be questioned. Even Parida's mobile phone was seized and sent for analysis.
Police said that the actual reason for death can be ascertained after receiving the viscera and postmortem report.
“Prima-facie evidence indicates that it is a suicide, however, we can't disclose the fact of evidence as we have not yet arrived at any conclusion. We will investigate every single detail. Based on the demands of the family members, we are probing the case,” said a police official.
The police official said even in the case of death of a common man probe is carried out on all angles including the murder angle as mandated.
Notably, many fans and supporters of the actor cannot believe that he committed suicide because he appeared cheerful and positive before the day he ended his life.
