Port Banik Sangha holds R-Day

The 73rd Republic Day was observed by the Paradeep Port Banik Sangha in its premises at Badpadia. A small number of members attended the National Flag-unfurling ceremony due to Covid.

Chief guest Sangha president Santosh Kumar Patnaik unfurled the Tricolour and paid deep homage to the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives in the liberation struggle of India.

Paradip's traders have been hit hard by the pandemic, but they should be careful about both health and business in this situation, Patnaik said.

The Republic Day was also observed by the Eastern India Oil Refinery Workers’ Union in the office premises at Zero Point as per the Covid norms. Paradip Port Land Losers Farmers’ Association president Chinmay Das hoisted the National Flag. General secretary Ranjan Kumar Palai and joint secretary Niranjan Nayak, Niranjan Samal, Ashok Nath, Jagbandhu Bishwal, Trinath Bishwal were present.
