Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday called upon people of Odisha to take Covid-19 booster dose during the 75-day Amrut Mahotsav being celebrated by the Government of India from July 15.
In a video message, Pradhan said that as once again Covid has started spreading, Prime Minister Modi has insisted on fast-pacing immunisation drive. During 18 months of the pandemic, the Union Government administered 200 crore vaccines.
He reiterated that the Centre is providing booster does free of cost like the previous two doses and all 18 and above-age population is entitled to get it. Unfortunately, over 87% population of Odisha has not taken booster doses.
As Covid pandemic may spread fast in rainy season, it’s high time all should take the booster dose, he said.
