Prepare science, technology and innovation policy promptly: CM

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Science, Technology and Innovation Policy should be prepared promptly and placed before the Cabinet. Single Citizen Database should be readied by December 2022 at any cost, so that citizens can benefit from it. He said that preparations should also be made to make single service delivery portal by April 2023.

Chief Minister Chouhan was reviewing the Department of Science and Technology in Mantralaya. Science and Technology Minister Omprakash Sakhlecha, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Principal Secretary Manoj Govil and other departmental officers were present.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that according to the intention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, drone technology has to be promoted. Use of drones should be promoted by taking advantage of technology. Keeping this in mind, complete preparations should be made to conduct drone courses. Work expeditiously for the establishment of new ITIs in the state.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that land should be identified in Bhopal, Indore and Dewas for the establishment of new IT Parks. More and more youths should be connected with employment in companies TCS, Infosys, Impetus etc.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that department wise district ranking dashboard should be developed to increase accountability in administration. Ranking of districts is essential for healthy competition. On the lines of Jabalpur and Ujjain, the proposal to build a Science City in Bhopal should be considered.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that CM meeting management system should be prepared. Network facility should be made available in 1635 villages that do not have mobile network.

Aadhar based payment should be ensured in beneficiary oriented schemes in all departments. Action should be taken for renewal of IT policy. It was informed that action is being taken by the Department of Telecommunications to provide 4G services in 3191 villages.
