Sarala Birla Public School, Ranchi organized an 18 hours Public Speaking workshop for the students and the teachers  by Dr. Parnab Mukherjee who is an acclaimed visual arts and knowledge resource curator, theatre director and spoken word performer. He has directed more than 164 performance explorations in 12 countries and curated over 27 visual arts exhibitions. The workshop will continue till 19th January 2022 which will be followed by the first edition of Sarala Birla Public Speaking Conclave, Pratidhwani on 20th and 21st January 2022.

The school is conducting the workshop and the conclave to mark the culmination of the centennial year of the birth anniversary of our fountainhead Shriyut Basant Kumar Birla, the school’s foundation day which falls on 20th January every year, 159th birth anniversary of the youth icon of our country Swami Vivekananda, the forthcoming of the centennial year of the birth anniversary of Sarala Devi Birla and 75 years of Indian Independence.Mukherjee trained the students to shed their inhibitions while speaking on the stage, how to present one’s views using anecdotes framed out of their own observations, extracts supporting evidence, strategic silences while asserting oneself, and a clear eye contact with the audience.School Head Personnel and Admin Dr. Pradip Varma, appreciated the school fraternity for conducting such kind of public speaking workshops as good oratory skills is an important attribute for nurturing leadership quality in the students.Principal, Paramjit Kaur, motivated the students to participate in such workshops and learn about the basic principles of public speaking so as to become good speakers and be successful and convincing in all walks of life.
