Punjab Minister Verka castigates role of Badal family and central agencies in Majithia Drugs case

Chandigarh:  Addressing a virtual press conference hosted by the Media department of the Punjab Congress, Punjab minister Raj Kumar Verka on Friday said that in this infamous drug case the investigation was done by agencies when the NDA govt was in power. Not only that, the sister of the main accused was a minister in the union cabinet and his brother in law the home minister in the Punjab state government. Verka said that the statement of Jagdish Bhola, who was being investigated at the time when this case was caught, clearly has become an embarrassment for the Badal family and points fingers at Bikram Majithia.   The minister categorically stated that the misinformation campaign of various opposition parties on the scholarship scam was misplaced and misconceived. He assured that no one from the Dalit community will suffer nor any accused in this matter will be spared.  He said that Congress will fight and win the election under a collective leadership while the opposition has no face nor any concrete political alignment to go before the electorate.
