Pursue goals with mantra of resolve sans alternative: Dhami

One should pursue goals in life with the mantra of resolve without alternative (Vikalp Rahit Sankalp) and make the best use of valuable time. Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said this while speaking at an event held in Rudrapur in Udham Singh Nagar district to felicitate meritorious students of class X and XII. He also felicitated persons who had contributed in the social sector during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Addressing the students, the CM said that people have expectations from the youth of the nation. He exhorted them to achieve excellence in work in all spheres and focus all their time on their target. Dhami said that in the eight years under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the nation has emerged as a prosperous and strong nation capable of leading the global community. “Today’s India is one which leads the world. It is the effect of PM Modi’s leadership capability that talented persons from India are doing commendable work across the nation and abroad. The PM story of his journey from zero to the peak is an inspirational story,” he said.

Dhami further said that established of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) branch in Kichha will considerably benefit people in the nearby regions too. He said that the State government is doing unprecedented work in building the road network. The bypass in Rudrapur area will be constructed soon while the bypass in Gadarpur will also be ready soon. The State government is also working on developing the Pantnagar airport to international standards. The road from Rudrapur to Kailash Mansarovar will also be ready in the near future, he added.

The CM pointed out that PM Modi’s birthday is being commemorated as Sewa Pakhwada. Various events related to aspects like sanitation, blood donation, seminars and other service activities are being held across the State as part of this fortnight. Referring to the case of Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission examination paper leak, the CM said that the Special Task Force of the State investigating the case is also arresting accused persons from other States. According top priority to the interests of the youth, this drive against crime and corruption will continue. Any person guilty of playing with the future of the youth will not be spared, he said while adding that the cabinet had decided to transfer recruitment exams for class C and other posts to the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission in order to ensure transparent process and clean examinations, the CM said.
