The Commissionerate police on Tuesday received the postmortem report of Ollywood actor Raimohan Parida, who was found hanging in his home at Prachi Vihar in the city recently.
The postmortem report revealed that the actor died of asphyxia due to hanging with a rope. The minor injuries on his body were caused when the actor made an attempt to hang himself, Capital sources said.
A team of doctors of Capital the Hospital had conducted the postmortem.
Meanwhile, a viscera report, which is being prepared by a laboratory, is awaited to know whether Raimohan was intoxicated or had taken alcoholic drinks.
As per the city DCP, Raimohan was under depression. The actor also went to Mancheswar police station for personal work and had given an undertaking. As per police sources, an investigation has been launched to know the reason behind Raimohan’s depression.
Police have already questioned Parida’s two daughters, son-in-law, wife and nephew in this regard. Even Parida’s mobile phone has been seized and handed over for analysis. However, the reason behind the actor taking the extreme step was yet to be ascertained by police.
