The Aam Aadmi Party's candidate for Rajinder Nagar Legislative assembly by-elections Durgesh Pathak sought time from Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana to hold a discussion on the law and order situation in the area.
This comes after a video went viral showed four people robbing jewellery worth Rs 10 lakhs from an NBT Suraksha Kavach member at gunpoint. The incident took place on June 6. Pathak said that there is an urgent need to revamp the law and order situation and hence, he has written a letter to the CP, Asthana, to seek an appointment to meet with him.
“I have written a letter to Delhi Police Commissioner to give some time from his busy schedule. I want to have a detailed discussion on the law and order situation in Rajinder Area with them and how we can revamp same.
I am hopeful that Rakesh Asthana will reply to the letter at the earliest and give me an appointment to meet him,” said Pathak.
