Everyone must relax and enjoy regular sleep, leading neurosurgeon Dr. Daljit Singh said here.
He was speaking at a three-day annual conference of the Cerebrovascular Society of India Neurovascon-2022 at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences here.
Eminent neurosurgeons at the conference agreed that a healthy mind and deep sleep of six to eight hours daily were a must.
“To keep our mind healthy, we should sleep well without failure. Deep sleep washes out much stress in the mind and thus keeps everyone healthy and active," Singh said.
Dr. Singh gave newer insights into ‘Brain Oedema’ and explained new drugs and treatment protocols to consultants.
Another leading neurosurgeon, Dr. Anil Karapurkar, Senior Consultantant at the Beach Candy Hospital, explained the journey of neurovascular interventions in India.
Dr. Karapurkar passed the success mantra to new surgeons. "Be confident but not proud, do your duty without expecting any return, hope for the best, prepare for the worst, and love one, love all."
Prof. (Dr.) Nitin M. Nagarkar, Director, AIIMS Raipur, discussed the state-of-the-art healthcare facilities available with the neurosurgery department in the Institute.
The conference attracted around 250 delegates from across the country. Experts from the United States, the United Kingdom, Singapore and Canada also took part through both online and offline modes.
