Governor Mangubhai Patel has said that the meaning of life lies in living with the spirit of public welfare. Human beings have got a special ability to understand and cooperate with others. Along with this amazing power of communication, the ability to extend a helping hand has been given.
He said that it is the responsibility of the educated section of the society to cooperate with the backward and deprived sections of the society and bring them into the mainstream of the society.
Governor Patel was addressing the second convocation of LNCT University. He inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp. He awarded the gold medalists and Ph D recipients. The Governor honored cine actor Suman Talwar and social worker Sanjeev Kumar with honorary degrees. He felicitated social worker Raj Kishore Chaurasia.
Governor Patel said that for service and cooperation, motivation is required and not means. Children from disadvantaged sections can be helped significantly in their education by cooperating through teaching them the subjects taught in the school. For this, there is no need of any means, only one hour is needed from the routine. The Governor said that the self-satisfaction that one would get from helping someone would be incomparable and enjoyable. He said that doing work with responsibility is the basis of success. He expected the students to observe the convocation oath daily. Governor Patel said that the sufferers should be treated sensitively. Emphasizing on being health conscious, doing yoga and taking care of diet, he said that the food which is easily digested should not be taken and not the one that is good to taste.
The Chairman of Private University Regulatory Commission Bharat Sharan Singh said that Diksha (initiation) is the beginning of the education of life. The present era is of subject-specialization. Therefore, continuous acquisition of knowledge is necessary. Maharishi Dadhichi donated his body for the welfare of humanity. He exhorted the students to keep irrigating their roots with the knowledge and talent they gained. The Chancellor of the University JN Choukse said that the meaning of life lies in becoming a good person. A good person is good and successful in every situation.
He expected the students to always remember their parents and teachers. Always be grateful to them. Act on your inner voice. Always be ready to learn and listen and be true to yourself. Chancellor Prof. Anupam Chouksey expressed vote of thanks. Vice-Chancellor NK Thapak administered the convocation sermon and oath to the students.
