SATI and PTRI come together for road safety and zero accident vision in MP

In view of road safety, these two institutions have planned to work together so that the vision of Safe Road and Vision Zero Accident enshrined in Madhya Pradesh Road Safety Policy, 2015 can be realized.

The MoU was signed between the two institutes on Friday. The objective of this MoU is to research and share mutual knowledge in the field of road safety.

PTRI Bhopal is the lead agency for road safety under the Supreme Court Committee on Road Safety in Madhya Pradesh and nodal agency for implementation of iRAD in Madhya Pradesh.

Under this MoU, by providing quality training to road construction agencies, to remove errors in road construction, to develop teaching modules with case studies on issues of road safety and social security, Samrat Ashok Technological Institute (SATI) and Police Training and Organizing workshop jointly by Research Institute (PTRI), conducting research and social audits and solutions, research on accident prone roads (urban and rural). They will be testing of major road accidents, time management of signals on roads, intersections on the basis of Organizing and facilitating traffic, publication of road safety research papers, information, education and communication (IEC), public participation and dissemination, creating road safety awareness among youth and children and organizing capacity building programs for road safety stakeholder agencies is included.

 Director SATI Vidisha R.K. Pandit, HOD Civil Engineer  Pramod Sharma, Assistant Professor  Rakesh Meher, Additional Director General of Police PTRI G. Janardan, Assistant Inspector General of Police PTRI Manoj Kumar Rai, Manjulata Khatri, Pratipal Singh Mahobia were present.
