Chhattisgarh School Education Minister Dr Premsai Singh Tekam on Friday urged Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel to order a high-level probe into corruption charges.
In a letter he handed over to the Chief Minister, the Minister said a false news report was published to malign his image.
The report was published as a complaint letter of Ashutosh Chavre, Deputy Director, Public Instructions Directorate, using his signature, post and seal.
It alleged that Rs 366 crore was collected under different works and heads in the last three years by the Minister, his wife and Officer on Special Duty (OSD).
The letter states that Chavre had filed a complaint with the police complaining that his name, post and seal had been misused.
It said that some miscreants were trying to defame the Minister's family, department and the Congress government over alleged corruption.
