Students of pharmacy in the Guru Ghasidas University (GGU) learnt about new avenues in field of pharmacy in Chhattisgarh as it is bestowed with a variety of flora and fauna.
The students were informed at a workshop about opportunities as a registered pharmacist and pharmacy professional.
Dr. Rohit Raja, Nodal Officer, Skill Development Cell, said GGU was ranked on top of the 10 best universities of India in terms of tie-up with big MNCs.
Continuous efforts are on vis-a-vis skill development and entrepreneurship opportunities for the students of GGU, he said.
The Assistant Drug Controller, Ravindra Gendle, introduced the students to various opportunities and fields in the pharmacy sector.
He explained the importance of flora and forest as they serve as the best place for phytoconstituents' extraction.
Subhash Agrawal, President, Chemist and Druggist Association, Chhattisgarh, introduced the opportunities in pharmacy industry and sector, in hospital pharmacy, clinical research and more. Raju Kurre, Chief Pharmacist, SECR Railway, Bilaspur, told the students about the various opportunities in the government sector.
