Chhattisgarh Police on Tuesday arrested six persons for killing a young man a few days ago in Bhilai city. Two accused are at large.
Durg Superintendent of Police Abhishek Pallava said Sona alias Josh Abraham, Ganeshwar alias Aman Bharti alias Timpu, Biselal Bharti alias Chhotu, Pintu alias Preetam Singh Chauhan, Bhupendra Sahu and Nikhil Sahu, all aged between 19 and 27, have been taken into custody.
Efforts are on to nab Lokesh Pandey and Chiku alias Nikhil Angel. All the accused are residents of Bhilai city.
They killed Ranjeet Singh over an old enmity on Sunday night.
The police arrested Sahu from Rasmada village and five others were held from Jalbandha village in Durg and Rajnandgaon districts respectively. They confessed their involvement in the killing.
They attacked him with a baseball bat and a sharp-edged knife on Sunday night in Sai Nagar area, causing his death.
