Under the Swachhta Pakhwada, a street play based on cleanliness was organised at ECR Headquarters, Hajipur on Tuesday. In this street play, the message of cleanliness was given by the actors of Sonepur Scouts and Guides, demonstrating the importance of cleanliness by staging the play.
Under the Swachhta Pakhwada, on the occasion of Swachh Neer Diwas in the divisions of ECR, adequate availability of water in trains and station premises and water sources like taps, water vending machines, water coolers and waterbooths etc were checked.
It may be noted that under the Swachh Rail Swachh Bharat Mission, 'Swachhta Pakhwada' is being organized in ECR from September 16 to October 02. During this, cleanliness in station premises and trains, cleanliness of water-booth and quality of drinking water, cleanliness of toilets, availability of sufficient number of dustbins, disposal of waste, cleanliness among common people with the help of NGOs and charitable organizations. Programmes like running awareness campaigns are being organized. Under the Swachhta Pakhwada, an awareness campaign is being run to curb the use of single use plastic and not to use other types of plastic.
